Welcome to SABCoM’s documentation!¶
SABCoM is an open source, easy-to-use, spatial, multi-agent, network model that can be used to simulate the effects of different lockdown policy measures on the spread of the Covid-19 virus in several South African cities.
The model is described in detail in our paper: SABCoM: A Spatial Agent-Based Covid-19 Model. The code for our model is open-source and available on Github.
The goal of this documentation is to facilitate you in doing your own simulations. You can simulate the model for Cape Town and Johannesburg using data that we provide. Alternatively, you can simulate any South African city for which you can provide your own data and know how to format it. The documentation should make clear how to do both.
